Introduction

Compassionate, trauma-informed therapy can help children feel safe, understood, and empowered to thrive emotionally, socially, and psychologically.

This approach involves offering the child or young person a comprehensive psychological assessment and formulation. Together, we explore the reasons for seeking support, helping to build a deeper understanding of their feelings, mood, thoughts, and life experiences. As trauma specialists, we pay particular attention to the impact that difficult or traumatic experiences may have had on their emotional well-being and development.

Psychological formulation helps us build a shared understanding of the child or young person’s experiences, including the factors that may be contributing to ongoing difficulties. Using evidence-based psychological approaches, we work collaboratively to identify meaningful goals and create a supportive plan tailored to the childs' needs.

Children’s therapy can support your child or young person in managing and overcoming difficulties that may be affecting their emotional, social, physical, or mental wellbeing. At Your Mindspace, we provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing space where children can better understand their emotions, build confidence, and develop healthier ways to cope and communicate.

As specialists in trauma-informed care, we recognise how life experiences can impact a child’s wellbeing and relationships. We support children experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, anger, ADHD, Autism, relationship challenges, bullying, and emotional regulation difficulties.

Every child is unique, so we tailor our therapeutic approach to meet their individual needs, helping them feel understood, supported, and empowered.
